What happens if I have a problem
There are Fault Finding guides, Installation and Download Instructions specific to your handset. These can be found in the appropriate section on the left.
How do I get my application
Once you have purchased the application, we will send you an email with a website link to download the application together with your unique authentication code which will allow the application to work. We will also supply a User Guide and our terms and conditions.
My phone battery does not last very long at all
After you have finished using the application, you should use the main menu and press the exit button to close the application. If you use the hard key 'Back button' the application will remain open in the background. This means that the GPS will still be running, and as such the battery drain will be higher. When driving you should use an in-car charger to keep the battery charged.
Where can I get a cradle or in-car charger.
We don't sell accessories, however we use 'wecanfit.co.uk for our own installations'
I’ve entered a destination, but it just says ‘searching for GPS’.
Smartnav needs a GPS fix in order to work effectively.It will be unlikely that you can get GPS when inside buildings, and occasionally in built up areas with tall buildings or trees.
The destination time given verbally is slightly different to that given by the visual instructions. Why?
Please ensure that the date and time is correctly and accurately set on your phone. If this is sufficiently different then it can affect the Estimated time of arrival.

My subscription has expired – what do I need to do?
You can purchase another subscription by going to www.trafficmaster.co.uk
Will it work abroad?
No, it is not designed for use outside of the UK
How much are calls to the PA in the call centre?
Calls to the PA are charged at a Premium rate. Network charges will vary. Calls typically last for 40 seconds and cost less than 60p.
Is there any cost for the route itself?
Yes, but these are very small and are normally covered within your contract with your mobile phone provider. Typically a Smartnav route is around 20-30 kb of data.
Is there any cost for the application download?
If you chose to download the application via GPRS, then the approximate size is 4MB and you may be charged for this data transfer if it exceeds any monthly allowance within your contract. Please check with your airtime provider to ensure that you don’t exceed any monthly allowance.
My phone gets really warm. Is that normal?
Yes. The GPS module and the processing power required means that the phone can appear to be warmer than normal
