Setting up a Traffic Alarm ensures you receive personalised SMS alerts warning you of traffic congestion on regular journeys  

How do I set it up?

• Simply select option 4 from the 1740 main menu to speak to a Trafficmaster Personal Assistant and tell them which roads you want to be kept up to date about
• The Personal Assistant will set up your alarm based on your preferences for the time of day you’d like to receive alarms, the length of delays you want to be told about etc
• Once you have set up SMS alarms for your specified route, you can directly access delay information on your route by selecting option 3 from the 1740 main menu

How much does it cost?

Each SMS alert will cost 25p. There are no forms to fill in and no subscription fee. You can set limits on how many alerts you receive by telling the Personal Assistant

What if my Journeys change?

If you want to change your Traffic Alarm at any time, simply select option 4 to talk to a Personal Assistant from the 1740 main menu

How can I stop the Alarms?

You can cancel the service at any time by replying with ‘STOP’ to one of the SMS messages or by talking to your Personal Assistant
